Welcome Back to Second Semester!
We are excited to welcome students and families back to Granby 5–8 as we begin the second semester of the school year. This time of year brings renewed energy, fresh goals, and continued opportunities for growth; both academically and socially.
Our winter sports are in full swing, and it has been great to see our student-athletes representing East Newton with effort, teamwork, and school pride. Spring sports will be right around the corner, offering even more opportunities for students to stay involved, build connections, and grow through extracurricular activities.
Academically, our focus this semester will continue to center on strong instruction and targeted support for all learners. Through our RTI process, teachers are emphasizing foundational, transferable skills across content areas. In the coming weeks and months, these skills will be intentionally refined and connected to standardized test preparation, ensuring students are well prepared while maintaining a balanced and supportive learning environment.
As always, we value our partnership with families and appreciate your continued support. Please continue to encourage students to stay engaged, attend regularly, and give their best effort each day. Together, we look forward to a strong and successful second semester at Granby 5–8.
