Dear Granby Families,
As we prepare for the upcoming school year, I’m thrilled to be entering my second year as principal of Granby 5-8. Last year brought so many meaningful connections and moments to learn about what makes East Newton a special place—and I’m even more excited about what lies ahead.
One of the things I appreciate most about our school community is the people—from the committed staff to supportive families and our incredible students. We’ve faced challenges and celebrated growth together, and I look forward to continuing that momentum this year.

● First Day of School — Tuesday August 19 | 8:00 a.m.
A Few Family Updates:
● Over the summer, I enjoyed some much‐needed time outdoors with my family (Montana, Minnesota)
● Harrison (now 10) and Parker (9) kept us busy with basketball, gymnastics and fishing trips.
● Julia continues her work as a Nurse Practitioner at Cox Monett.
Please join me in welcoming some fabulous new staff members who are joining Granby 5-8 this year. Whether you’ve been part of this district for decades or are brand new, your involvement and support are what make this a truly special place to learn and grow.
